Malted Chocolate Cauliflower Ice Cream {No Bananas!}

This veggie based dessert (or breakfast) couldn't be easier to mix together!

The perfect post-workout snack or late night sweet treat, this cauliflower ice cream is fruit-free. To make things easy, keep steamed cauliflower florets in the freezer so this treat can be made in minutes!

Maca is what gives us the malted flavor. If you're new to maca, it has many benefits such as being a vitamin and nutrient powerhouse. It may also be a energy and stamina booster (both in the bedroom and at the gym!). Maca can be used to help with skin issues, such as acne. It has even been found to help those struggling with anxiety or mood swings. Do some research and see all the benefits for yourself!

Malted Chocolate Cauliflower Ice Cream {No Bananas!}
  • 1 cup steamed cauliflower florets, frozen
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup almond milk, as needed for a smooth, thick mixture
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon maca powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • stevia drops to taste
  • drippy almond butter, dark chocolate chunks, sprinkles... (for topping)
Add the cauliflower, almond milk, cocoa powder, maca, vanilla extract, and stevia drops to a high powdered blender. Blend on high, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed, until very smooth. 

Scoop the mixture into a serving bowl and drizzle with almond butter and sprinkle with chocolate chunks and sprinkles.
