Avocado Herb Sauce

Fresh, easy, and zesty, this Avocado Herb Sauce is great on everything!

This sauce is wonderful served with tortilla chips, grilled chicken, enchiladas... It also makes a wonderful salad dressing and meat or vegetable marinade. The list goes on and on. Add in more spice by using two jalapenos. Add in more zest by using two limes. This recipe is really customizable and will not disappoint.

Avocado Herb Sauce
Slightly adapted from Pinch of Yum
  • 1 avocado, skin & pit removed
  • 1 jalapeno, ribs & seeds removed if desired
  • 1 lime
  • 1 to 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 cup whole almonds or pistachios
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon diced onion (optional)
  • salt, to taste
Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender. Blend until slightly chunky, mostly smooth.
